Can't say much bad against Entropay as well. Just a bit annoying that their cc's are being issued in UK and if you're in another country (like me), some providers won't let you pay or you need an UK vpn (like bestukvpn.com) and an account with UK data in it.

Entropy[edit]

Entropay Anonymous

You know, I thought 'entropy' was something else entirely. Not even a link to the general concept of entropy? You do realize, Wikipedians, that eventually this 'encyclopedia' will be completely subsumed by brand names?

There *is* a disambiguation page...

I totally agree. In fact, those two articles really refer to the same thing.

Finally, we are at least two that thought entropy was something totally different ;-) Being a physicist now working as an IT Admin, I thought I was about to read an article about the thermodynamics of data on the Internet... What a disapointment hehehe

POV[edit]

The 'Why not Freenet?' section is completely POV. I don't know enough about Entropy to fix it, but someone should.

Decent machine[edit]

but can be run without notice on a decent machine.'

This not a good term to use in any computer related document. What is a decent machine to the writer may not be a decent machine to the reader. The 'decent machine' at time of writing may become a very out dated machine only a few months later. My definition of a 'decent machine' is one that is <800mhz, but in some circles (such as gaming), a 'decent machine' may need to be in excess of 3ghz. Someone needs to find and fix this. Someone else needs to make this official policy. --CalPaterson 5 July 2005 17:36 (UTC)

CalPaterson is right about this 'decent machine'.

Merge with main Entropy article[edit]

I oppose this as the subjects have very little to do with each other. Articles should only be merged if they share the subject. This is more like just a fancy brand name than anything else. -- Northgrove 20:53, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

I also oppose merging this with main Entropy article. Would be pointless to merge this with another article just because they share the same fucking name.

Be Civil. Also, as I just came across this article, it's pretty clear that they are the same thing (see: matching external links), though both were obviously written in two different styles. Radagast83 01:05, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Deletion (dated prod), Entropy/RSA and entropy-rsa-ng[edit]

There's a project, called 'Entropy/RSA' (of the same author, as I understood), using RSA instead of McEliece cryptosystem. The last version is 0.9.1-439, dated 2005-10-06 which means that it's development has stopped long time ago, and the project is dead. However, it is still being used at least a bit, and a working entropy_rsa package is included at least in Gentooportage. Also, I've found 'entropy-rsa-ng' project which seems to be alive (last updated 2007-09-28). As there are not so many anonymous P2P file sharing systems, I'd suggest keeping the article and updating it. Unfortunately I don't have neither enough time nor knowledge on the subject (I've just looked for info on different anonymous P2P and darknets and today I see Entropy/RSA for a first time) nor proper English skills to do it myself. I'm removing 'dated prod' template as it suggests me to do ('remove ... if ... object to its deletion for any reason'), however, if my reasoning is not enough or is otherwise wrong, please return it back. —213.148.171.34 18:58, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Entropy 2.png[edit]

Image:Entropy 2.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Loading up your online casino account gets easier and easier. There are now so many different methods it gets a little confusing. Online casinos seem to have a huge list of methods they take, some have as many as 40. This can be nothing but good for the playing public. One of the more popular methods to fund your casino fun is the pre-paid card and EntroPay is a well-respected version.

What Is EntroPay?

Entropay Anonymous Meaning

EntroPay works as an online account with a virtual pre-paid Visa card. You receive a 16 digit card number, expiry date and a cvv, the same as a physical card. Wherever you see a Visa sign it can be used. There are plenty of online casinos that accept EntroPay as a separate entity and have a link dedicated to them. Getting an account is very simple has no credit checks and can be registered in minutes. You fund the card with a credit card, debit card or a bank transfer. Unlike other electronic forms of pre-paid voucher EntroPay can be used for withdrawals from your online casino account. So there is no need to register a separate card for your winnings.

Keep Your Identity Secret

Using EntroPay to fund your casino account has the benefit of obscurity. You need not give any details from your main bank account to the casino. You can use the card for a sole purpose loading up just enough playing funds and keep the rest of your money safe. EntroPay runs industry standard 128 bit encryption so when you load up the card you know your details are safe with them. Possibly the best feature of EntroPay is the speed in which it can be set up. Absolutely no credit checks are performed and you don’t even need a bank account to set one up. The account can be set up with any debit/credit card or a bank transfer from anywhere in minutes.

Good Yes But Nothing Is Free

Sounds great yes? Well yes Entropay is a good thing for many people. But it’s not all gravy. Entropay is not a charity. It’s not a bank either. There are no hidden charges written into the small print but the visible charges are not that cheap. Fees for depositing into your EntroPay Visa are running at around 5%. A withdrawal from your online casino account into your EntroPay is around 2%. So the benefits do come at a price. You can use several different currencies to deposit however and they do have a 24/7 customer service team.

Who Are EntroPay?

EntroPay was the first virtual pre-paid Visa card in Europe. Launched by Ixaris Systems Ltd in 2003 it has paved the way for many more innovations in electronic payment methods. Ixaris really is leading the way to transform electronic payment methods in Europe. EntroPay is based in England and is fully regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2009 for the provision of payment services. All Visa cards are issued by the Bank of Valletta Malta.

Reputation Is Everything

Entropay do seem to be getting quite a bit of flak in a few forums just lately. With the amount of transactions that they process around the world on a daily basis, it is to be expected that some will be unhappy. You should take reviews on forums with a pinch of salt. After all most people don’t bother to write a glowing review about the hundreds of transactions that go right. It would be riveting reading for sure. It does seem that there can be problems with the card not being accepted depending were you are from. The more disturbing comments border on fraud. This is a bit worrying as a lot of the comments were posted on a respected forum that EntroPay are involved with. Unusually almost all the reviews were bad on this particular forum. Every one of them was answered by an Entropay representative but unfortunately it is not known if they were resolved. As a population we are getting more suspicious when it comes to our money. The online world has made it possible for somebodies problems in India to be known across the world. A company can’t cover up its mistakes as easily these days. A handful of complaints online can have a big impact on a company’s image. Whether it is fair or not, a forum does have influence with the public.

Millions of dollars are moved every day by EntroPay. Most people must have a positive experience with them, they wouldn’t be in business very long otherwise. The best advice if you want to use EntroPay to fund your online casino account is to test the water. Deposit a small amount first if you get a win withdraw a small amount. Start off slowly and gauge how well the system works.
